Today Meri came over and we talked about my lingering future (rather bleak I must say) and we watched a movie called NANA. It was very interesting. Now I am very intrigured to read the manga.
So yeh....my major and I need to talk to my advisors. VERY QUICKLY.

The flying of time and it's nail polish.

Well, Only three to four more weeks left of the spring semester. Man time really flies doesn't?
There is only that much time left to catch up on everything? Well I also have to tend summer school for taking more courses, so I guess I'll be "catching up" all year long until winter break.
I think I am going to use this three day weekend to catch up on work and also study for upcoming exams I have in Physics and Calculus. I definitely want to pass these courses else I will probabaly have to "retake" them again. And that will be a major drag. DRAAAAAAGGGGGGGG on my 'precious' time. (8-8) and I swear non of that will be taken.
Yeh so this weekend is my main catch-up work weekend. So will the next three day weekend. Man all of this seems like over-spilled lotion on a record player and it being left there to rot the wood planks. la la la la la...
Really need to do that work.

Oh and for summer when I will be taking those courses, my roomate is staying because she says that she will also be taking some courses during the summer. She'll also be working, I think two jobs now since she just got one the other day. =)
Yeh So I will have company at night when she gets home or when she takes days off (but I doubt she will since she needs the money)

I can't help but feel I may be making a very big mistake by moving into the dorms. I love my apartment, it offers freedom and all college students favor an apartment over dorms. I wonder what I will be missing out when I will be living in the dorms. Hmmmm....I guess I will be finding that out next semester.

But at least in the dorms I will hopefully have more comapny of people. I like being in company. But wonder if I will be able tyo concentrate on my work that way. Sometimes I don't like a place being too quiet, else I get paranoid. Well I'm going to go and try to do some catching up.

I am sick of myself. Sick Sick SICK! Clam Chowder will definitely not work.

oi Ve.

Hmmmm....Since I withdrew my chemistry class for this semester over the weekend, I only have calculus I, physics I, College Writing, and Intro to Chem engineering to worry about for the rest of the spring semester.

College...~sigh~ what else can I say. It's an entirely different world than any other. The most freedom and the most constricting envirnment all compact into one. A paradox between two worlds.

To be honest to you people including myself, I feel it is utterly annoying everytime somebody asks "so how is college? Anything new?"

God--for christ sakes, it's the same bloody thing over and over again!!!
Do they really think that college is really THAT exciting?!?!

For those of you who believe that college has proven to be a sucess, then I'm happy for you, but I truly have not found those times yet.

Almost everyday it is the same thing over and over again! We wake up, got to class and then come back weary of the homework to do ahead. Then those of the good students sit at the library or at their desks looking at their books and work on their never ending assignments, while us slackers just sit there on the computer or watch tv down in the lounge. Nothing new ever happens during the weekdays and rarely on the weekends. I mean nothing exciting ever happens every single time. I mean just the same old thing repeating itself once you get settled in. Nothing new happens until the next semester.

Also, Yeesh, so little of us ever write on livejournal anymore.
All of us have been kidnapped to facebook.com and become facebook whores. I know I've become one, but I still reluctantly come back here once in a while to write up some junk.

Remember back in senior year where all of us on livejournal wrote at least once every single day?
That was when life was right and writing seemed interesting. Back when life was interesting.
But college, facebook, myspace...have taken over and livejournal seems to have dwindled.

What has become of everyone?
Has life become too boring to write about? Then we must make it more interesting.
For the sake of our keyboards!!! FOR SAKE OF OUR KEYBOARDS!!!!! CHAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEE!!!!!

This is including myself of course =/

The First Day BAck.

Today was the first day back to classes since Spring break. Spring break was okay, I hung out with Meri while blowing off my two other friends who wanted to watch a movie at the theaters in order to do homework, but ended up not doing it anyway. Which is something I drastically need to change. And the change shall come soon. Justin tells me I need to talk to a psychologist about why it is so hard for me to concentrate on homework and anything else I do that always requires a lot of focus that i just couldn't supply. I don't really want to, but I think he's right. It might help motivate me somehow to get my assignments done.
Today I also received back my second chemistry II and Physics I exams...and let's just say I REALLY don't want to talk about it.
One good thing that happened today was I took my housing contract and handed it in to the housing office in fox hall the first thing in the morning. Now I know I am guaranteed housing. Let's just hope Lily, gets her check in early so we can register each other for roommates on the gateway program. Earlier the Lily told me only students that currently have housing could be able to choose roommates, but I asked the people at the office and they said I could because I already have access to my isis account (my school account). So that makes everything good in the beginning of my day, until the grades of my two exams killed me. But alas, no pain is really no gain--> unless you're a genius and that's something I am not going to be for sometime soon mwhahahahahhaha!!!

During the break before my physics recitation class, I sat down and organized what I was going to do for the rest of the week and I'm going to try my best to follow it and do as many problems as possible.

One of the things that pissed me off really bad was today, also in the break before my physics rec. class, I got up to get a drink from the vending machine. I spot an energy drink, and I've never had many (or any) of those (never seemed to need them) so I decided to try it and see what happens. The can cost $2.50 (god...expensive much???) , so I sent through $3.00. Then guess what happened next?!?! The stupid machine ate my three bucks!!!!!!! So I decided to put in a dime and see it if would give it back to me, and lo and behold, it ate my dime too!!!! STUPID STUPID MACHINE!!!!
Grrr, so i waited there for a janitor (or a janitor looking person) to come by. When one came by, I told him that the machine ate my money, so he told me to go down to the coffee shop and tell them to refund my money. So I did and when I got there it was closed. AFDHJFKHSDFJL!!! I missed them closing by 15 minutes. God dammit. I shall come back on Wednesday.

Well that was mostly my day.

Now off to eat then homework.

A hard semester.

Hmm, it's been warm these last two days, including today so I am grateful I didn't have to wear my scarf and hat in one, gloves, and heavy black puffy coat. Oh and my boots too, which I thought were fun to wear for the first time in a while! Anyway I am getting used to staying at school until 5:30pm from Mondays through Wednesdays. At first I thought it would be a real drag walking home when the moon is out, but since Justin walks home with me during these days I guess I don't mind it as much.
I found it really annoying that Justin constanty worried about my habit of getting work done on time and his continuous nagging just drove me crazy. So I finally snapped two days ago and he swore he wouldn't be so hard on me anymore cause he says he trusted me I could take care of myself and do my assignments properly on time. Now I can finally get some sleep...even though my new recent bedtime has been past 2am these last couple of days. I'm going to improve soon---I'm working on it okay? No more promises, I'm just going to try my best and it will fulfill my requirements.
Second semester has been really hard and I have been finding out little by little that college is definitley harder than high school. Since College doesn't give out much homework, tests, and quizzes (at least the classes I take don't...) it means grades weigh heavily on exams. So if you mess one of them up, it;s incredibly hard to regain yourself and get a better grade. So this in my opinion makes highschool a whole lot better because you can mess up a couple of times and still get your grade back up becuase there make-ups, tests, quizzes, and homeworks to cover up one bad grade. So right now I need to put in more effort becuase I'm going to need it in order to get through this.

Happy Valentines Day EVERYONE!!

I am so happy that school is canceled today due to the wonderful snow storm that started around 1:30am last night. I love the snow!! SO WHITE AND BEAUTIFUL, but so painful to walk through!! It was snowing little ice balls that hurt on impact since the strong wind carried it. It hurt so much that I had to make my friend stop by at my apartment so I could pick up my chemistry lab goggles to protect my eyes. Man did those tiny snow balls sting!! Anyway, we went to SUPA's and ordered a large cheese pizza, large spicy fries, large cole slaw, and a chicken stir fry dinner. It was good and it filled me up till now...well there were left-overs so I brought home my portion and will save it for later (in this case dinner). I love the snow for canceling school, but it was a major bitch to walk through. It was so hard and made my legs tired (well I guess that was also due to a heavy coat, which I put a lot of stuff in and my jeans kept wanting to fall down since my waist wasn't thick enough for it hold up.)
Anyway, after SUPA's we went to my apartment and watched some music videos on Youtube.com and mtv.com.
Now I am just doing homework that is dues today, and homework that will be due Thursday (tomorrow).

Wish everyone a happy Valentines day and great SNOW DAY!

Weed anyone? No thanks...I'll just watch you guys get high (^_^);;;;

Hey there minna!
This morning I weirdly woke up at 6:15-am and then went back to sleep…. yes, then again at 7 and 9. Well around 9, I finally got up and decided to eat some breakfast cereal and an orange. I tell you my appetite has somehow spiked up and I like it. Though no doubt I will get fat in time, so I need some exercise to maintain it too =)
Anyway, this afternoon I replied to Tiffany’s long email of staying in touch and finished writing a letter to A’huang (my cousin in China) → I guess you could call this a late LATE Christmas and Chinese new years card (well, Chinese new years day won’t be happening until February 18th, so I guess it’s only late in Christmas wise)
I also talked a little with Ison, a lot with Meredith and Fannie. I caught up with a lot of people today. I guess I caught in all but my schoolwork…I mean I only got one part of my college writing done…and that is definitely not a good sign if I want to get rid of this procrastination streak. So okay starting tomorrow I am going to be all about homework and nothing else!!! Zetaini!!!(Definitely??)
After talking with friends I also talked with Bill’s friend Tom, who seemed to be a nice and funny guy. We talked about cooking while I was making myself some pasta and corn. Also about my major in college and stuff in general; some stuff about my life and some about his life. After a while of talking Roxanne steps out with her boyfriend, Bill, looking very ruffled…I think they were taking care of some stuff inside…lol.
When everyone was seated in the kitchen we just all chatted a little and laughed at Bill and Tom’s jokes. Roxanne ate her tofu stuff breakfast while Tom ate some of my corn. I just sat there and laughed at most of the jokes I understood…since it was mostly about their lives and stuff I knew nothing about... [This by the way happened before I talked with Meredith and everyone else.]
I got so bored with myself…I guess too bored even to start doing work…I needed the presence of people….I guess I should have went to the library…yes I’ll do that tomorrow…definitely…even if Justin wants to come over, he’s going to have to just sit there and watch me do my homework. I need to get motivated to do my work…I just can’t blow it off anymore because there is no more safety net for me to fall into…I am not far from the danger zone and therefore must build myself a bridge to distance myself from the infection…in other words I need to go into full transformation of a workaholic…. yes dangerous. There are even side effects of enormous eye bags and looking disgruntled all the time…but that is a price I will need to be willing to pay to do everything I need. I need to limit my surplus of never ending time…to just certain time…yeah I can definitely do this if I have enough faith in myself.
Also tonight I met Roxanne at Market Basket after she left work and then Bill and Tom also showed up because they offered to give us a ride back. I bought a few necessities (since I didn’t want to buy anything unnecessary→which I ended up doing anyway, because there still happened to be butter and vegetable oil at the apartment and I bought a second set…But good news…I got some good grape soda!!)
When we got back, we unloaded and packed away groceries. Then we proceeded to chat again about random stuff that would pop into our heads that seemed interesting enough to bring up. Some of the topics were friends and family they knew, music, Benjamin Franklin being once a guitar tutor, weed becoming illegal because the government was racist of black jazz musicians, good weed, weed supplements, alcohol and cigarettes being dangerous and yet legal, incest, and etc. It was quite interesting. Then food was prepared; Broccoli, beets, green stuff by Roxanne, pre-heat of chicken by Bill, and Cauliflower by me. Though not everyone had a piece of everything. After eating I read the charter assignment, then everyone gathered in Roxanne’s room to watch this weird but funny cartoon. I liked it.
At this point in time it was getting rather late for me (well 12:30 was considered too early for them...) and everyone including me was tired, so I said good night to everyone while all in the same I left them to start smoking what ever they were smoking...I know there was some weed..some fudge(lol...though I seriously doubt that they would smoke this), and something else...I forgot what it was called...but it started with an "S". At one point they tried to get me into the circle of joining them, but I just said "nah I'll just watch you guys get stoned/ high" and they laughed and said it was not a good idea cause they knew they would look like idiots...
Yeh...Yep...That was my Saturday.
Also mad at Justin for promising to stay the next weekend to hang out, but told me later on he couldn't because needed to rehearse the chinese new years lion dance at his kung fu school for Chinese New Years on the following weekend. Even though it wasn't his fault he had forgotten, I still can't help but still be angry at him...~pouts~...evil...

Purple or white? I pick White WHITE WHITE!!!

Today was quite an interesting day.
This morning I was too lazy to get up, so I skipped my calculus lecture and only went to my Chemistry II and College Writing II classes. Chemistry was still reviewing what the course taught last semester…so it was quite boring to hear the professor talk on and on about the structure of elements and the degrees and change of charge on each molecule…. I nearly fell asleep. When I did place my head down on the desk, the boy in the seat in front of me and noticed I was bored. He made a funny face and demonstrated that felt the same way. We chatted a little during class, discussing how it was so boring to be reviewing stuff we already knew. At the end of class, he formally introduced himself as Nate and I told my name was Anna. I found out he lived in the same dorm house as Justin and I told I lived in an apartment near the bridge that connected North campus to East campus. It was nice to meet someone new this semester, but I needed to rush to College Writing.
I took one of the shortcuts through the building so I got there three minutes early. Justin had saved me a seat at the front of the class…oh goody… (> .<) In class we talked more about fairy tales and how each demonstrated a guide or relevance to a child’s growth and how it taught them morals. We also looked for symbolism in the stories Cinderella and Rapunzel. I found myself to be more active in class when I noticed I raised my hand and talked more than last semester. For the weekend we are to read and annotate Hansel and Gretel to write an essay due Wednesday. At the end of class as Justin and I walked toward the Southwick building, Professor Komperda (whom also happened to be my teacher from last semester) caught up with us since he was also walking the same way and reminded me about 10 times that the essay was due this Wednesday! I guess some professors really care and also he said he couldn’t forget about my unfinished research paper from last semester…so he knows about my streak of procrastination…. yikes…I really need to watch my toes in that class. (^_^);;
After putting back extra lecture notes and picking up new ones for physics at the Southwick tutoring center, Justin and I headed down to the cafeteria and I got some beef stew and pizza. Justin didn’t get anything because he said he wasn’t hungry. H was being a worrywart again since he was constantly thinking about the amount of work he needed to do that weekend and the shock of Tuesday really knocked the wind out of him.
After eating, we headed back to my apartment and at 3:30pm his mom came to pick him at the dorms on east campus.
After he left I took a shower, washed the dishes and did my laundry. After everything was done I reheated myself some dinner (chicken and steak…chicken liver!!! Mwhahahah) and watched Miss Congeniality. After eating I opened my charters book to the reading assignment and proceeded to do checking on the Internet until I got bored and remembered I needed to call Fannie back. We talked for maybe an hour, then I called Justin and talked to him until I got tired twenty minutes later and told him I would talk to him later. While I folded Laundry I watched Legally Blonde…it was nice but I was so tired. I stayed up long enough to meet Roxanne’s boyfriend Bill and his friend Tom before I headed to bed. He and his friend seemed like nice people, and really skinny with long hair too. It was then Roxanne opened the window and it was snowing heavily outside!! I was so happy!! I love the snow!! Though Roxanne on the other hand didn’t like the snow at all…(^_^); Mom and Fannie told me it was snowing in both their places, which made me believe that it wouldn’t happen over here for a few days since weather that occurs in both the places didn’t blow over to Lowell until a few days later.

Also living with Roxanne has been pretty good. No fights/ arguments over anything…yet (I guess maybe some are to be expected further down the road). If anything we get along pretty well and she’s pretty cool when it comes to chores and quiet hours. The best thing is that she got her 50ft Ethernet cable on Thursday and now she won’t need to be working in the kitchen all the time anymore. She can now be in the privacy of her own room and we both have our spaces. She is also a decent cook, and I can stand when she cooks me brown rice and mixed vegetable or pasta. So all is well with the adjustment with the new roommate.

Today....another normal day...

Today I woke up and cooked myself a bowl of warm oatmeal (it's really nice, fast, and easy to make), but didn't finish it all so I threw it out and went to school. First class of the day was introduction to engineering II and we talked about using excel to complete homework and all work in general. After engineering, I went to my calculus recitation class and no doubt bombed the whole quiz--jeez. That whole class I was just thinking about food and going to the bathroom, so no concentration means no paying attention to class discussion which basically told us all how to ace the quiz (god I am so stupid ~bops head~)
After calculus, went to chemistry II class and nearly fell asleep....such a soft voice....soo hungry.
After chem, I couldn't take it anymore, so I bought myself a bag of funyons and chex mix. I was originally going to buy Bugles, but the store ran out, so I could only stick with what they had. I ate the bag of funyons in my Intro to enginnering II lab while I attempted to do excel. A few minutes later I finished my bag of funyons, but was confused on the excel program. The TA came over and I asked him what I was supposed to do because I never used excel before. He explained it and eventually I got a hang of it (sorta). By the end of class, I had only mostly completed one our of five problems...oy vie...doshiyo.....
Anyway after class I went to the school store and bought a 1GB flash drive (now I finally have one...since I keep needing to use one....)
Anyway currently I am at the library but need to get home and cook myself something very good to eat...and watch if the internet technician guy comes (he better!!!)
I also have a ton og homework to comoplete for next week... ~sighs! here I come mr.workload! ~bungees into stack of paper!

Today....what about today.....jelly.....today....purple....

Since the time I woke up last Wednesday I have been as sick as a dog. But it was much worst the morning of last Wednesday; you see since Justin made me work out for 2 and a half hours at the gym, my body became like a giant bruise the next morning as well as a sore throat. As for today I still cough like I am dying...so send me your arms and legs and I will boil them for soup! Mwhahahaha!!! Just kidding...sorta.
Anyway, school has been going well, homework is okay, I mean I've been doing thanks to this evil maniacal guy with a giant whip to my back....evilll....I'm guessing you all know who.... (hypothetically speaking....with the whip anyway.....the other stuff is absolutely TRUE!!!)
I really just wish that this sickness go away, I mean it is driving me up the WALL, I need to strangle a cat or something....(I haven't seen any animals lately...except for a couple of birds in front of the main door.)
Well that's okay, I've got one guy that I can always beat on...someone pudgy, not very good looking, smelly (like wet socks soaked in five day old sweat), and acts like a monkey! Yes yes you've all guessed it's our star, Justin! Why don't you step down here Justin and give us some facts about yourself?
Justin: "Heyyyy!!! Who are you calling a monkey?!?!?!?! ~strangles me~ look who's talking!!!"
Meredith: "Don't you hurt my Ana KING KONG!!! ~hits Justin over the head with a metal bat~
[Justin lets go and tackles Meredith as Anna joins into the rumble and tickles Justin on the sides. Justin squeals with irresistible laughter and holds up the white bandana]
Anna: "Ah I see the monkey gives up! ~pats Justin on the head as he grumbles under his breath~ Awww now now monkey, explain to everyone what you are like =)
Justin: ~cheers up and gets excited~ "Well if you really must know, I am quite handsome and can...
Fannie: "...swing from vine to vine?"
Justin: "ye....HEY!!!!!!!! What the!?!?!? Where'd you come from???""
Emily: "wow he really does look like a monkey, I mean just look at those hairy ankles!!"
Justin: " Hey!!! what's with this ganging up!?!? Where are my friends?!?!!?
Anna: " You're what?? You have friends???"
Justin: "FDHSUFADSGFHUKDLBHFUADKFGHUDSKFH!!!!!!
Anna: "Well that's enough time we have for today =)"
Justin: "what the!? How dare you all embarrass me like that!!! ~Points a finger to all~ You shall all pay! You hear me!!! ~Eye squinches to one side~ paaaaaaaaayyyyy...... ~throws down exploding purple smoke screen and runs obvioulsly to the fire escape to make his "grand escape"~
~All looks rather amused and awkward~ Till next time

Today skipped first two classes to take care of some urgent business and then went to the rest of classes. It seems I may have A-ced my physics quiz, but don't know for sure. I need to get up early to finish tomorrow's calculus homework in order to get it done on the dot-time.
Also at dinner tonight, I saw Jim, Louis, Billy, Hayden, Alex, Justin, Abashaq, Cameron, Eva, Lily, and Ashley. It was quite amusing to see them all again. When Justin and I came into the cafeteria they were all sitting at one table and there weren't room left to seat anybody else, so we sat a table close by. Pretty soon everyone except Ashley (who was already settled at another table), Cameron and Eva (also already settled at another table), Lily, Billy (who left before we got our food), and Hayden joined our table and talked with us. We ended up staying till Fox closed and everyone else pretty much left... It was fun to catch up and have some fun before everyone had to go again. Also talked with Cameron for a bit and we ended up making plans to hang out this Friday after class...yeh....

Start of Semester #2

Today the new semester started. However, since all labs were cancelled the first week, I had the day off seeing as I had only total of two labs (chemistry and physics).
Everyone else went to class while I stayed home and cleaned the apartment; washed the dishes, took out the garbage, swept and cleaned the floor, vacuumed my room, and finally cleaned up the very messy bathroom. When Roxanne came back she was very impressed how clean the bathroom was and insisted that she would clean it the next time! (sounds like a good idea to me). So proud of myself that I cleaned up...mwhahahaha!!
Around 4 p.m., Justin and I took a bus to south campus since he had an appointment with Health center. He was actually very sick and needed to be checked out. While in the waiting room, I read a magazine on an article about insomnia and women's health; turned out to be pretty good advice (thought it was interesting that every article I read had "don't use your bed except for sleep and sex" written in...) We also saw Henrietta at the health center with her friends, and we all thought it was funny that she grabbed a condom from the basket... (I originally thought the basket was candy, since the condoms were mixed in with candy canes...)
Justin checked out with a virus and the doctor gave him some cough drops and some advice to keep his throat moistened.
When we waited at the bus-top, Lily called me and we met up with her, Hector, and Hayden at Fox hall when we got back. We also saw Irene and her friend at the beginning, then I saw Tony and Billy at the end when everyone started to get up and leave.
Justin and I head back to the apartment and we see Roxanne in kitchen typing on her computer. We stay for a while, before Justin and I went to the Recreation center and worked out at around 8:30 p.m. I swear someday I will kill that guy...because you can't believe how much he made me do. First we did sprints, steady jogging, and walked around the indoor track for about 15 minutes and then for the rest of time we stretched, cycling, push-ups, sit-ups, lifts, weights, and other stuff. I was so tired by the time we went back at 11:00 p.m....TWO LONG HOURS!!!! AHHHH I am so going to kill him. I took a shower when I came back since i was extremely sweaty, ate some carrots with ranch, then went to bed.

The day before classes started

Today I went to see my advisor about my classes at around 11 am and I ended up talking to three different people instead of one. Suzanne Gomache (at first I thought it was Gomez...surprised her...lol) was the first advisor I talked to about my academic probation warning on my isis account. I am not on academic probation, just a warning for now. I needed to go to her to uphold the hold on my account so I could sign for calculus I. She did that, but then she looks at my chemistry grade (which I needn't say wasn't too hot) and tells me to go to the engineering department to check if it was enough to go into Chemistry II. So I walked through a couple of doors and a hall to get there and the lady at the desk (secretary I presume) told me she was unsure about it herself. Then she tells me to walk down to the Chemical engineering department to ask them. So I get up and walk again, and when I get there, I meet Professor. Donatelli and I speak with him about the matter. He was very serious when he talked but I tell he was trying to be nice about it, he told me that I really needed to put in more hours for my school work and homework since that's what I need to survive this semester. I looked over at a name tag outside his door and it read Dr. Death... I laughed when I read it and asked him why he was called that; he just smiled and told me that I will hear many stories about him come Junior year (which I won't since hopefully I will have transferred into WPI by then). I leave his office and go to a computer lab to meet up with Justin and then we walk to the library since the printers would work there. I change my classes and we both printed out our schedules for tomorrow.
After leaving the library we walked to the book store on North campus to buy our books for classes. My total came out to be about two hundred and something dollars. Upon entering the bookstore we saw Jim again and met his dad. He apparently had grown a mustache and told us he didn't have enough money to buy his books yet.
After the bookstore, I went back to my apartment to drop off my books and then met with Justin, Lily, Hector, and Hayden (Jesus) at Fox to have lunch. I left and then went home to see Roxanne and we kind watched another movie on Justin's computer (American pie I, II, Wedding --> Very funny...Stiffler's mom...LMAO)
Then Justin went home, I took a shower, then we all went to bed.

Moving back in...

Today I moved back into the apartment. Dad got to meet Roxanne, but it turned out that she was a little under the weather and so she stayed in bed while we moved my things into my room and a wok (a kind of pan) into the kitchen. I also brought plenty of water , this way I know I won't dehydrate... since it's the only clean water I get from the kitchen other than the kind from the filter over the sink. After moving my junk back in, my dad and I drive to Market basket and shop for fresh vegetables and meat. We come back and I wave my dad goodbye until this Friday when I come back to celebrate his birthday on the weekend.
When my dad leaves I head straight to setting up the modem so that Roxanne and I would both have internet access to our computers. The modem had a wireless router inside, so we could connect wirelessly, but since neither us were able to figure out just how to do so, we both ended up resorting to the ethernet cables. This meant Roxanne could only go online in the kitchen since the cable isn't long enough to reach her room, but she is going to get a longer one soon.
When both of the internets were set up and ready to go, I decided for us to watch a movie, Mean Girls. Roxanne apparently doesn't like to watch many movies, therefore while I watch she worked or read something on her computer...but from time to time she would peep over to the screen and catch an interesting scene.
At around 6-7pm, Justin comes back to Lowell and came over to hang out with us. He ends up staying for dinner and we watched some movies on his laptop. I cooked sausage and rice while Roxanne took care of the vegetables.
After dinner, I washed the dishes while Justin left. Then I took a shower and we all went to sleep.

In my opinion, it was a good start and I think having a room mate comes in handy when one needs to cook a part of a meal.

Farewell to home and hello to bad food!!

Last Day before i head back to school and see good friends and eat bad food once again.
Gonna miss home, but I'll be coming back once in a while anyways.
So I'm still readhing my chem book, I've read a whole 17-18 pages and took four pages of notes. So I am slowing breaking my habit of the thy disease...
Also finally updated a pic of short hair on facebook, so I am no longer the insomniac duck.
More later, I've got nothing to say at the moment.
Fannie is going to be coming over this afternoon, so this is like a farewell before I see her again in a couple of weeks or months. Thoough I know she can't stay long becasue I need to pack for tomorrow morning...though I doubt it would take me more than two hours...

Whence the spotlight becomes shifted...it becomes cold and dusty again...

The great benefits from coming home from college is that you are pampered by your parents and no one yells at you. Everyone is soo extremely nice and want to be on your good side...well that is until you overstay your welcome. Yes it happens to all of us college junkies...we come home to nice people and then somewhere in the middle, everything becomes normal again and you become the target of all the blame. This is in a sense why I really hate LONG vacations. I mean benefits are always good, and it puts everyone in a good mood. Everthing is going your way and everything seems soo good...but too good to be true right?
For example, lets say you had just come back from college and you run in the house and break a vase right? Hey it's no big deal, every reassures eachother that these things happen and it's nothing to fuss over... But give another week or so and you are still there and break the same vase. The same scene would raise havoc and everyone is screaming at you for being such a klutz!
The benefits of being at home, no need to worry about school or school work and mother or grandma takes care of your meals and well-being. But limited to no freedom, boredom due to lack of friends, friends being too busy to bother, or friends are still away at college or in high school (If you are like me and have under-classmen friends). You can't stay up later than 1am or 2am else your dad comes in and yells at you to turn off that damn lamp! Can't eat junk food like funyons (not pronounced like fun- yons, not like funny- yons, whoever pronounces it like that is a crazy maniac ~stares at a certain monkey~) in plain-sight or else you get yelled at for not taking better care of yourself and the bag is taken away from you.

However in college, you can stay up to however late you want and no one will yell or nag at you. You can party with your friends and play with them for all anyone cares. So much freedom, but not healthy choices. There's school and classes to worry about and that nagging research paper waiting to be done.

I guess no one can have it all...except for Paris Hilton...but that is an entirely different topic and world (wherever she thinks she came from anyway...). I'd say I could put up with weekend trips back home, but not months at a time because by then I become unbearbale with everyone. I need to go back to school.
So a balance muct be made. More of school sometimes and more of home time at other times.

Also, I can't believe almost all the snow is gone. I hope that it comes back and snows like crazy tonight or after I get back on Sunday morning. Just one more day thank the earth. SPIN FASTER!!

Sleep Deprivation

Today was okay, but I woke up late this morning…again. God I’m so sad, I used to wake up so early, but I guess my body has just about finished with me abusing it every night by staying up later and later, so it cracked and just gave up on waking up early. I really need a better night’s sleep, since I’ve also been getting very cranky lately especially last night and today. Sleep deprivation has really been getting to hasn’t it? Jeez, just need to get some sleep already. I’ve opened my chemistry book but I have yet to read more than two pages...jeez just what is wrong with me? Procrastination is a disease I say; a disease!!! But no worries I am slowly battling away this thing as I have to in order to get off academic probation!!
This morning when I did wake up, which was at 11:45, I went back onto Habbo hotel (an online interaction simulation that uses characters to communicate with other people, aka people who have no lives go onto this and spend away precious hours here.) and re-organized some furniture in my room. I’ve only started to go back on habbo hotel last night when I wanted to show Justin what it was. He thought it was amusing for a few minutes before we got bored and went to sleep. Talking to Justin about random things was fun, but I hadn’t had breakfast yet so I was starving. We stopped talking and I made some pasta for myself. Jen decided to come out of her room and go into the kitchen (a miracle before my eyes, hahaha) and we went outside to bury the two dead fish that had died two days ago (but we just neglected burying them for a while). By the time we looked at them again, the smell that rose up was awful...and the water was very murky with little chunks of decaying skin from the cold frozen body. William came home just in time the fish were buried underground.
When we all were inside again, I cooked them some pasta and the cakes I baked were finished. I made white cake and a lemon flavored one. Mom came home and grandpa had gotten us some food from Burger King. I also did the laundry made my bed. At around 7pm, we all drove over to uncle’s house and ate dinner, then came back.
Also yesterday I helped Uncle upgrade his and grandma’s cell phones to Motorola Razrs. He also opened up two new lines for Rose and grandpa, so four new cell phones. After buying phones, we stopped by at Shaws and I got some chocolate syrup along with other things.

A very uneventful day...maybe just the way I like it...(T_T)

Today was a very uninteresting day. My mom had asked me the other night to work today, but that didn’t happen because she wanted me to stay home and relax because she said she could take care of it. Very nice of her though =)
So here I am sitting and updating my journal when I should have been reading my chemistry book…of which I shall be going to do…right about…now! Tomorrow and the rest of the week I am going to continue reading my chem. book till I finish chapter 10…which I should have been reading last semester (>_<) nooooooooo

An Eternity's update!

Hey there guys~! WOw it's been a while since I've been attending to this site. I guess my obsession with writing extremely long entries transferred to facebook, having me want to check log onto the site almost every minute of the hour in a day. As Meri says, I have become something she calls a facebook whore. Mehehehehe...but it is so addicting!
Well, my apologies for abandoning live journal for facebook, but I will try to write here more often now. Besides, I found it annoying NOT to jot stuff down; I mean it was like keeping a record of everything that was going on in my mind and then having to remember it all as more and more things keep happening every second! Felt like my head was about to explode, but here I am about to let all that I remember unload. And don't worry I am not going to drop the bomb on you guys by writing all the way from where college started, I'm just going to generalize what went on this vacation and maybe a few extra thoughts. I shall try and keep everything brief...hopefully :)
So here I go:
Winter break started about three weeks ago counting this one that just past since it is after all a Friday.

December 16-22, 2006
The last week before vacation started was the beginning and ending of Finals. First I had my College Writing exam on Saturday morning, it was easy, merely explaining what to remember when writing a college research paper and if the student thought it was a great transition/ change from writing research papers in high school. Then Monday was when I had my Intro to Engineering exam...some parts were easy while the three questions at the end were hard. Tuesday was Calculus, which I think I failed in-> tis what I get for not studying (guilt trip). Lastly Wednesday I had my chemistry exam, which I again didn't do so well in. My other class, Intro to Ethics, decided to have us write a research paper instead of taking a final...which I admit was not my best work.
After all of my finals I hung out with Justin and we looked around downtown for Christmas gifts to buy the family. Then on Friday morning I packed everything and dad came arrived to drive me home for the month.

December 23-29, 2006
Well I didn't expect it, but I had to work the entire week. Mostly busy since New Year's Eve was coming up on Sunday and it was the busiest day for our (along with many other Chinese/ Asian) restaurants. Though I wasn't the only one whom helped out, my cousins: Rose and Lil, along with my brother came too. All didn't come every day (like me) one or two of them came on different days and helped fill in the duck sauce and mustard cases; we must've filled at least 14 to 15 boxes full. I really hate pouring the mustard since it always made my eyes so watery and itchy...
But working there wasn't too bad; I got a chance to talk with mom, dad, uncle, grandpa, and some crazy customers. Plus I got paid, mom raised it from twenty dollars to thirty dollars, which was sweet, but it still doesn't feel right to take money from them even though I worked for it.
They didn’t make me work on Christmas though, so I took that time to relax with only family since Fannie and Ison didn’t come this year. Fannie, Ison, and I planned to take a trip to Boston on Christmas, but we figured a lot of shops were going to be closed on that day so we decided to delay it until the next day.

December 31, 2006 [THE Day of Absolute HEll a.k.a New Year's Eve]
I had a whole system for this day (which I do every year) which was controlled by Fannie, whom always comes to help out. The whole gang came to work out: Jen, Rose, Lil, and me. William and Andrew were either too small or too inexperienced. I had also planned for Justin to come, but mom changed her mind in the last minute because she didn't want an white boy come in and see how dirty the kitchen floor was, since she thought it would give him a notion that Asian people were dirty and smelly...which is still ridiculous...oh well.
Every year this day gets out of control because customers keep piling up in front of us asking about their orders, the phones going off the hook, people in the kitchen bagging food like crazy, everyone screaming numbers, and orders getting lost; just absolute chaos. But this year it seemed calmer and maybe a little bit more control (in my perspective anyway) and when usually I would go crazy from the time I entered the building till the time I left at closing time, this time I was completely mellow as in no panic at all…which was weird. When people panicked and ran around looking for orders I just didn’t want to care anymore and just stood there and took more calls for orders and found people to find my orders for me. Strange but rewarding…I actually got the job done without panicking so it felt good. At the end of the day when it came to closing, everyone received a salary and some jun-jee-gai which is similar to tamales with rice, chicken, sausage and other stuff to take home. When I got home I took a shower and chatted with Justin until 3am…which was a very bad habit to do every night since that deprived me of sleep from vacation time.

January 1-6, 2007
I had to work all the days of the week except for Thursday when I finally got to hang out with Emily!! It was really good to see her again, like a breath of fresh air since I haven’t seen her in so incredibly long! First we quickly picked out a movie to see at the theaters that night and then rushed downstairs to play a quick game of pool. After that she drove us to the Showcase Cinemas Worcester North and we watched the movie “Night at the Museum” for free since the manager always gave my mom free passes to the theater. It was such a great movie; it gave me a good and happy feeling after I saw it. It really lifted my spirits since I was feeling a little down before…or just really mellow. The trailers for the movie made it seem half as good as it really was, the movie was really funny and good. It’s like Happy Feet, also another good movie that would make you want to see it again and again!
On the way back Emily and I talked about Justin the monkey (a good laugh) and other stuff we caught up on.

January 6, 2007
On Saturday I had invited Justin, Emily, Meredith, and Fannie to come over. Fannie also brought her younger sister Shirley. Emily didn’t show up for a really long time and thought that she might have forgotten about coming over. But later that night I got a message from her saying both her parents worked and couldn’t get a ride…which I now remember I forgot to call her back…oops…
But the day turned out really well. I ran in the park early that morning and got a good work-out, however I ended up cracking the inner-screen of my phone instead…so when I got back my mom took me to T-mobile to get a replacement. After the getting the replacement, mom and I got into the car and tried to start it up but the battery just went dead. Mom got angry and asked nearby people if they could jump start her car. Two men (I think they were Indian) were very generous and pushed the car from the parking lot in order for one of the men to bring his car around to be able to jump start her car. At the time Justin had already arrived in Shrewsbury and was reading at Borders waiting for mom and I. Mom told me to call Justin and have him follow our car just in case it breaks down again and he did. We stopped by Lexus to take care of some business with mom’s car and then headed home.
Justin, my cousins, and I played the game of life and it was fun, even though I ended becoming the poorest person…
After Fannie, Shirley, and Meredith arrived to meet Justin. We talked and decided to take a walk, but not long after we started we were called back in to have food because mom brought back a surplus from the restaurant. We all sat down and ate the good food and all the while I thought about where Emily was since I didn’t hear her call me at all.
After eating everyone separated and the four of us (Meri, Justin, Fannie, and I) decided to drive to Dairy Queen to get some ice cream. But when we drove there it was closed so we decided to go to Friendly’s down at White City instead. Justin was the only one got any ice cream, Meredith and I felt full and Fannie, I guess felt shy to order ice cream. Hahaha and after Friendly’s Fannie wanted us to check out Austin’s Liquors, which was weird but we did anyway. Meri claims she spotted one or two of the worked keeping an eye on us the whole time since we were minors…
After roaming around and looking at different alcohols and wines, we headed home and Fannie had to go home too. So it t’was only Meri, Justin, and I to watch Silence of the Lambs! Meredith left and Lily came into replace her spot in the basement. It was funny at some scenes Justin covered his eyes and ears…so hilarious! After the movie, grandma secretly called me and told me to tell Justin to go since he was a guy and it wasn’t proper for a girl to have a boy over for so late…
Jan 7-13, 2007
This week I didn’t work much, only had to fill in here and there. I planned to read my chemistry book but I guess that is for next week, my last week before heading back to school.
On Wednesday I got a hair cut down at White City and didn’t like it very much…since Meri still had my hair book which meant I had to improvise for him to cut it to my liking…
Meri had her hair cut on Thursday and gave me back my book when she came over that night. We ended up watching a part of V for Vendetta before she had to leave because I needed to bury a fish in the backyard before the clock stroke midnight; my mom’s birthday was the next day and she thought it would be bad luck if I ended up doing it on that day. Man the ground was stone cold and hard to dig through, especially with all the rocks in the ground too. When watching V for Vendetta we ate three month-expired popcorn…yay! (I mean it still tasted okay)
On Friday we celebrated my mom’s birthday and it was also Emily’s birthday.
Saturday, which was yesterday, I got my hair cut even shorter with a style in mind...it came out well. Justin came over around 4pm and we finished watching Ice Princess and then Meri picked us up to go Rebecca's party, which lasted until 2 am, but we all went home around 12am.

COPs are awesome!

Last night I decided to begin to put an end to my bad habits, so i went to bed at around 9:40 p.m. However, I didn't fall asleep so easily on account I never recently went to bed before 1 or 2 a.m.
At around 10 p.m the people upstairs started to have their weekly loud party, the kind of party where the music could be felt even if one covered or plugged their ears. I thought about ignoring them and maybe they would stop after maybe an hour or two, but I should have known better. The music just getting louder and it was still going on at 2:45 a.m. {This is what I get when I try and go to sleep at 10 p.m...}
I just couldn't take the pounding in my ear lobes anymore, I wanted somebody to put an end to them, but I was told not to do anything by mom, grandma, and uncle, for my own safety because I was a girl....oh the disadvantages of being female (I know I can still kick their asses, but I didn't risk it). So I decided I wanted to call the police. First I called mom on her cell and asked her if I should really call the cops (I mean even the lady at the apartment rentals office recommended I call the police if it was making that much noise). She said I could if it was bothering me that much. So I called them up and said I wanted to make an anonymous report about a really loud party. They transfered me twice since it wasn't a real emergency. They asked and I told them the street number and the probable apartment number the party was happening in; I told them it was clearly the 2nd floor and I also asked them to keep my identity discreet and they promised they wouldn't tell who called.
Within three minutes, they rang the doorbell and one of the people from upstairs ( probably thinking that it was another one of their friends...baka yaros...)opened the door and ran upstairs. There were two cops and the first one came in and yelled at them "HEY- ****** PARTY'S OVER!! EVERYONE OUT!!!! AND TURN OFF THAT MUSIC!!! NEXT I TIME I COME BACK, YOU'RE ALL GOING TO JAIL!" And I think the cop stayed up there to check people if they and any drugs or were drinking under age. I was happy and mom and uncle called back and i told them what happened. They thought I might have probably been shaken up by this so they told me I should probably drink some warm milk or tea.
I told them I was fine and I tried to go to sleep, but I guess I was a little shaken up by it all, since i noticed my breathing was kinda quick. But after a while (3:47 a.m) I think I finally fell asleep.
i woke up and took a shower. It is now 10:55 a.m and I'm ready to really get some work done.
